Travel Diary [The Beginning]

Last few days or say the whole of SEPTEMBER had been the worst month of the year for me. My foot got injured badly and I was on bed rest for a couple of days. No work, no outings made me quite uncomfortable and withdrawn from the world.

That’s when I started writing about the BEST times/ days of my life. Those 7 days when I traveled up north with my besties made me look at life with a total different perspective. With days of no communication with the rest of the world, even family made me realize that once in a while you need to come out of your comfort zone and look life in the face and love it. I had heard that travelling teaches you a lot of things and TBVH it actually did 🙂

Raasta koi mil hi jaega, Chalo to sahi ❤

For me, travelling helped me in personal growth and it nourished the soul as well. It taught me patience and to appreciate what I have. Being intimate with a place has its own charm and I fell in love with the new culture, the languages, local food, the clothing, and everything in between. Making new discoveries about the place and MYSELF was the best part about travelling. As for me, I was acrophobic and could’t even think of crossing a pedestrian bridge; I overcame this fear while hiking towards Fairy Meadows and it was indeed a transformative experience.

As the blog title says, its just the beginning and I will post my travel stories soon 🙂 Stay tuned and keep travelling ❤

P.S: Don’t forget to tell me about your experiences in the comments below 🙂

Independence Day Celebrations 2017

Every nation celebrates its independence day with great zeal and zest. The day they were given a new life . In Pakistan too, the whole nation awaits 14th August, the day when we were granted a new entity. It is the ideal day to show our sense of patriotism and love for our beloved country. This does not mean that we should not be loving our country for the rest of 364 days 😉

Speaking of 14th August i.e. Pakistan Independence day reminds me of the Independence Day Clothing preparations. The most important part of that would be choosing the perfect green and white clothing. Since the spirit of patriotism is in the air, each one of us would be busy finding those logo-printed tees or kurtis for women with crescent and star on it. Here is one of my personal favorite which I would love to wear on this 14th August.

Independence Day Kurtis  are available in stores as well as online so that people can start off with their own look apart from lighting up the houses and decorating them with flags. You can dress up in a stylish way by pairing the below shirt with accessories that are available on stalls put up for the Independence day.

Pakistani Flag T-Shirts are the best part about the Independence clothing, They are my personal favorite. Here you go, have a look at this patriotic piece which has a crescent and star on it. You can always wear flag badges with these outfits.

McDonald’s is Spreading Smiles..!!

McDonald’s never fails to impress us, may it be their food, happy meal toys or this time they had by #SpreadingSmiles. They have initiated a SUPER CUTE & smiling campaign on Social media which is catching up and this blog post is inspired by the same campaign 🙂 Lets’s have a look at their  video that they posted on their FB page where people talked about the things that make them smile 🙂

Twitter reacted to this campaign in a cool way and here are some of my personal favourite picks:

Speaking of McDonald’s, let me tell you that I am a super huge fan of it since childhood. I still remember Airport wala McDonald’s used to be like my second home ❤ and now Askari one is. No matter how old I would be, Happy Meal would always remain my FAV and first choice and I’m a toy hoarder ❤

If we talk about this campaign, I have always followed one simple rule in my life and that is not to let rude people get me and always greet grimaces with smiles. Always remember there’s something positive, even in a negative situation.

So, here are MY 5 ways for Spreading Smiles. You may always add a little spice 🙂

Forgive and forget about finding fault.
Trust me that’s the easiest life hack. Just forgive and forget the people who threaten your joy. Look through them 😉

Give genuine compliments.
See the light in others, magnify their strengths as it is on us whether to bring encouragement & kindness  or discouragement & pain into someone’s life.  The choice is ours!!

Stop everything and really listen.
Never underestimate the therapeutic power of listening to someone wholeheartedly.  It is by far the most sincere form of respect and hence encourage people to talk 🙂 This will eventually bring a smile to their face.

Always greet people with Smile, may it be strangers.
Never Frown. I know it’s not easy to keep smiling always as we have been going through a lot but lets just try bit by bit. ‘Better to be the one who smiled than the one who didn’t smile back’ goes a saying.

Be improbably Generous.
Its a wonderful legacy to leave behind. Just be generous and good to people no matter what. Being generous is CLASSY 🙂

The best part is that #SpreadingSmiles  doesn’t cost you anything and it’s the best morale booster.
Let me know what are the things that make you smile in the comment section below. What do you do to spread smiles?

Until next time ❤
